Also, does anyone use Google play music? It would be cool to share driving playlists.
I listen to sort of hipster stuff, mainly English.
Edit: a playlist for commuting

Rock, punk, alternative, metal, and whatever happens to come on the radio. I don’t particularly care.
Also, as always, Gaslight Anthem and Brian Fallon are my go-to driving music.

I mostly stream off my phone but symphonic/folk/power metal and pretty much any other genre of metal in between assuming it doesn’t all sound like someone is chewing on a mic the growls should compliment the clean vocals.

Blues and classic rock mostly, a bit of country. Older country, not the pop hip-hoppy crap they make now.

I love electronica/dance/EDM but I also love Celtic/Irish music and orchestral music and I have a massive soft spot for lounge jazz. Like Dave brubek. The stuff you sip a glass of scotch with.
I do use Google play but my playlists are mostly eurobeat and hyperactive dance music for driving events.

The USB/AUX input in the 3er is still broken, but the USB in the glovebox I can use to upload music to the internal hard drive works just fine. I’ve got a put a decent amount of Gaslight Anthem on it.

Salsa*, Cumbia, Merengue, Huaracha
I’m sort of a dancing machine. Gib me fast Caribbean and Latin American music and I’ll set the dance floor on fire!
As a musician though, my bass guitar was strictly for Thrash Metal. Bands like Exodus, Testament, Kreator, Slayer, etc.

I’m all over the place depending on what I feel like hearing; but mostly House, Jungle, D&B, sometimes trance, got a soft spot for Happy Hardcore... Occasionally classic rap/hip-hop, but not much newer stuff aside from Papoose (keep all of his mixtapes on-device.)
You’ll also catching me listening to 40's and 50's stuff sometimes (used to be on the oldies station when I was a kid, nostalgia.) Rock from the 60's to late 90's, occasionally classical, and hey, who doesn’t like a little Buble from time to time? Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack too, why not?
No country... with 2 exceptions. The Grateful Dead’s bluegrass album entitled “Old and in the way” (sadly beautiful), and Kinky Friedman’s “They ain’t making Jews like Jesus anymore.” (lol, sorry, lol)
...I could probably go on.

Mostly classical/jazz/swing/Motown
It seems like I really only listen to Postmodern Jukebox these days because they release a new song every week and they take top 40 (and other) stuff I wouldn’t normally listen to and reimagine it in one of the genres above. Plus their live shows are INCREDIBLE.

Industrial, shoegaze, dreampop, old school electronica, electropop (whatever the hell you could shoehorn Chvrches, The Naked and Famous, Goldfrapp, and the like into).
https://www.last.fm/user/gamecat235
is a good summary of what I’ve listened to for the last decade+.
(Bear in mind that the Taylor Swift and Owl City are largely the result of my daughter, but that said, I’ve seen Owl City live twice, so that’s kind of my fault).

Though I generally like everything to a certain extent, from Kendrick Lamar to Cab Calloway to Lead Belly to the Saddest Landscape, I Hate Myself and Daitro to Lana Del Rey.

Rock, hard rock, metal, the occasional movie soundtrack. That kind of thing.
Favorite band is Foo Fighters followed by Tool.
My current music tastes started with a Led Zepplin album I bought my freshman year of high school and have progressed from there in my own sort of music appreciation class.

I enjoy pretty much everything, lately though I’ve been enjoying stuff that has a little southern jazz/blues/soul/rock in it.
In no particular order some of my favorite artists recently. ZZ Ward, Dorothy, Gin Wigmore, Ivy Levan, Kaleo, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Elle King, The Black Keys, Halsey, Nathaniel Rateliff, R.L. Burnside, Gary Clark JR, Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, Haley Rinehart.
I’m always up for some decent country, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton, almost anything from the 90's.
A while ago I was really into a lot of Irish Pub Rock, The Dubliners, Flogging Molly, Seamus Kennedy, The High Kings etc.
Occasionally I like, I’m not even sure what genre to call it, Franz Ferdinand, Weezer, The Fratellis, Artic Monkeys, Kongos...
There’s a lot of classic rock I like too
And then there’s my guilty pleasure, Kesha.
About the only types of music I don’t really listen to are rap, heavy metal, and most modern pop country. I say most because I’m guilty of liking a few new “country” songs.

Dirty blues, that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for to describe some of the music I’ve been listening too lately.
Edit: Nevermind, just looked up what dirty blues is, not what I was thinking. Maybe grungy blues? Blues/Jazz influenced songs with a little bit of rock/bluegrass mixed in.

My blues don’t have to always be dirty by subject matter, but because of the style and time period I listen to, they usually are. I’ve listened through most of the blues out there, but for me I prefer delta blues, Chicago blues up to about 1965 and hill-country blues. R.L. Burnside is my favorite bluesman (he even made my kinja handle).

I’m still fairly new to blues, I don’t know all of the nuances between the different styles and what not, all I really know is that I’ve really been enjoying music lately that has a lot of blues or jazz influence.
R.L. Burnside popped up on my Pandora a while back, and so far I love everything I’ve heard.

The blues are a hell of a journey. I started listening to old delta blues and then followed them to the early Chicago sound (Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, ect). When I got to newer stuff, I didn’t dig it as much. After detouring in some Jazz and New Orleans sounds, eventually I found my way back to hill-country blues and RL.
